Another American...
So John, who works at WMA is here until Jan 3 and he wants to go out and take advantage of BA's nightlife. God bless him!!!!
Yesterday he hooked up a couple of tix to see Juanes - it was a DUST BOWL!!!! dude - open field, LOTS of wind that night, and no grass to keep the dirt in place! pretty funny though ;)
after that we headed to Milion - bar/restaurant that i have been dreaming of returning to since i first visited it 5 years ago. Its so cool - a 3 story mansion that they converted. Gorgeous and very cool. You walk in and they're playing acid jazz and there's this amazing architecture. We had dinner in the downstairs patio. i thought it a bit corny to take pictures there, but i did sneak in a snapshot of yet another order of carpaccio, and John's mug ;)
got home last night around midnight - caught the last 5 mins of Return of the Jedi - and then watched Meet Joe Black till 2 AM. Girls - Brad Pitt is unbearably, painfully gorgeous in this movie. i know many appreciate his scruffy look - but I think he's at his best when he's well polished. Anyhow - wept like a baby at the end of that movie. It always gets me.
Moving on... I'm off to Corrientes to replace my lost hat. and i think i'm going to find a place to get my initials engraved in gold thread on the back. i was thinking about putting 'goro' but the funny thing is, "gorro" means hat in spanish so if i put 'goro' people might think its a spelling error or something. either that, or i start my own line of engraved hats and purposely do a play on words - my last name and misspelling 'hat'. its a thought....
