Eye patch - depth perception question

Went to darling San Isidro today - its just outside of the capital limits. Its got a Santa Barbara feel to it in that its more village-like I guess. I passed by the cathedral there (its a mini by the crazy European standards) - took a pencil to paper and drew a little bit, reminisced about Pillars ;) I basically am trying to remind myself to appreciate things. I realize I look down too much when I walk, not good.
Then off to horseback riding class. I bought some gloves because the reins have been skinning my fingers. I've been getting blisters and it hurts like mad. Imagine holding a rope and during the course of an hour having it yanked through your hands over and over. ouch. The gloves could be cuter, I was thinking of this little green car racing pair I have back in LA, but frankly, I have no idea where to find that kind. Anyhow, these are German gloves and the Germs are good with that sort of thing.
Moving on - I was all proud of myself after class. The horse was behaving, I was going in and out of galloping with ease, I did well on the jumps. They were having a jumping competition in the nice field up front and I went to check it out and was immediately reminded of what a NOVICE I am. These 30-60 year old men doing these crazy jumps. Its suprising horses can even jump that high!!! its really impressive seeing these animals execute a jump, and its pretty shocking to see them run right into one when they refuse.
The most impressive thing - seeing that one of the riders had an EYEPATCH!!!!! what?? isn't depth perception compromised by not having vision in one eye? Isn't depth perception KEY to jumping? Well, I did a little bit of research, and whaddayaknow? Check out this link that has info for people with just one eye: http://www.losteye.com/depthper.htm Still...crazy. Even crazier - he got got 3rd place. Nicely done old pirate guy.
Tomorrow there is more jumping, there is also a fox hunt in the Bosques de Ezeiza (cant seem to figure out where that is). It would be nice if the website with the info about the fox hunt would give the time it started. Argentines always seem to leave out key information like that. Things like locations, directions, times etc...
Okay, now I'm goign to watch the end of Willow - its been dubbed. Hooray.

not such a bad idea to look down when you consider the amount of dog poo on the ground....
