Theft and paragliding.
So my backpack was stolen from me while i was standing not 10 feet from it. it was in the lobby of a hostel that had not registered our reservation. so not only did we have no place to stay but now i had no clothes, underware, toothbrush...i'll give a detailed list later. but here's the kicker> cell phone gone with it!!!!!!!!!!!! yes. this mendoza trip has been spectacular thus far.
to make it all better, Tammie and I have signed up to go paragliding. might as well drift through the sky for half an hour. i already feel pretty light without a backpack to carry, now i'll be light as a bird. lovely, no?
i already bought the most hideous pair of pants ever b/c all the stores are closed at the moment, and sunday doesn't leave much hope for a big selection of open places. i wont tell you about the pants..i'll have to post a picture later.
the cell phone, thats what really hurts. but the clothes, some of my best stuff. my good jeans!!!!! two dresses!!!!
well, here's a moment to delve(by force) into a more zen way of living, no?
by the way, we found a place to stay, we got lucky.
bye for now...

The situation seriously sucks, but I´m trying to be as positive as is humanly possible. You know, laugh my way through the whole thing. Not easy, but I´m managing. The whole situation makes me pretty sad, actually. Sounds like everyone here has got a theft story. Like no matter how careful you are, its bound to happen at some point. Oh well!!!
booo on having stuff stolen! that blows chica, so sorry... or lo sieto. Huh? That's right, who's learning her Spanish? :) I prefer to call it housekeeper Spanish, but I'm learning it! Damn too bad you couldn't break out any karate skills on them!
let go??? Karen is still having trouble believing that "cute guy" from the Christmas party wants a serious relationship.
On another note, I am adding to your possessions. I have the book.
